Arrival in Nairobi – Transfer to Aberdare via Thompson’s Falls
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you'll be greeted with a warm and friendly welcome by our local representative. Depending on your arrival time, you may stop for lunch at a local Indian restaurant to enjoy a delicious, familiar meal. If time is tight, packed lunches will be provided to enjoy enroute. Depart Nairobi for the lush and scenic Aberdare region. En route, enjoy the changing landscapes of Kenya’s countryside. One of the highlights of the journey is a stop at the picturesque Thompson’s Falls in Nyahururu — a beautiful 74-meter-high waterfall on the EwasoNg’iro River, where you can stretch your legs and take in the view. Check-in and unwind — the evening is free for you to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. You might take a stroll around the property or simply enjoy the tranquil ambiance of the forested hills. Enjoy a hearty dinner served at the resort’s restaurant. Full Day Game Drive at Solio Ranch Conservancy
Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the resort, depart the resort for a scenic drive to Solio Ranch Conservancy, a renowned wildlife sanctuary located about 1-1.5 hours away. The ranch, situated at the base of the magnificent Aberdare Mountain Range, is famous for its conservation efforts and offers a haven for a variety of wildlife species.Solio Ranch is home to a diverse range of animals, including the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino). This day offers an excellent opportunity for keen photographers and wildlife enthusiasts to capture stunning images of these majestic animals in their natural habitat. During the game drive, your guide will share interesting facts and insights about the flora and fauna of the region. The park is known for its successful rhino conservation program, and there is a good chance you'll spot both black and white rhinos during the day. For lunch, you’ll enjoy a delicious picnic amidst nature. In the late afternoon, after a day of thrilling game sightings and experiences, head back to the resort in Aberdare. Enjoy the scenic drive as you reflect on the wildlife encounters you had earlier in the day. Thompson Falls, Lake Naivasha, and Crescent Island
Begin your day with a delightful breakfast at your resort in Aberdare, enjoy a visit to the Thompson Falls, one of Kenya’s most picturesque natural wonders. Located in Nyahururu, this 74-meter waterfall is set in a lush environment, making it a perfect spot for photography. Take in the breathtaking views of the cascading water and surrounding greenery as you capture memorable moments with your camera. Later, embark on a scenic 1-hour drive towards Lake Naivasha, one of Kenya’s most famous freshwater lakes, located in the Great Rift Valley. The drive offers glimpses of the expansive Kenyan countryside, providing an opportunity to appreciate the rural landscapes and local communities. Upon arrival at Lake Naivasha, Board a boat and embark on a serene boat safari around the lake, known for its rich birdlife, including pelicans, cormorants, and various species of herons. As you get closer to Masai Mara, you’ll feel the excitement building, knowing you’re heading into one of the most famous wildlife reserves in the world. In the afternoon, you’ll embark on your first game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve. Optional Activities: Masai Village Visit or Hot Air Balloon Safari • Masai Village Visit (Optional): During the afternoon, you have the option to visit a Masai village, where you can immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of the Maasai people. A local guide will take you through the village, where you’ll learn about their traditional customs, housing, and way of life. You’ll have the chance to interact with the villagers, watch traditional dances, and perhaps purchase handmade crafts as souvenirs. • Hot Air Balloon Safari with Champagne Bush Breakfast (Optional): For a truly unforgettable experience, opt for a hot air balloon safari over the Masai Mara. Wake up to your final morning in the heart of the Masai Mara and enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge. begin your scenic drive back to Nairobi. The journey will take approximately 6 hours, passing through the rolling hills and plains of the Great Rift Valley. Along the way, you’ll have time to reflect on the unforgettable experiences of your Kenyan adventure — from breathtaking safaris and rich cultural encounters to the warm hospitality of the people. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in time for your flight back home. You’ll return home carrying wonderful memories of the landscapes, the wildlife, the vibrant culture, and the unforgettable moments that made this trip truly special.

    •  Safari vehicles are mostly open for game viewing and are not air-conditioned.

    •  Safari vehicles have 7 window seats maximum with a pop-up roof. These vehicles have high ground clearance and require agility to embark and disembark.

    •  There are many early mornings.

    •  There are very few toilets during game drives at designated locations within the parks.

    •  Electricity in the camps is provided by a generator and may not be available 24 hours a day.

    •  Most of the accommodations within the parks have no air-conditioning.
